Happy Birthday

This precious little peanut is turning one tomorrow. ONE YEAR OLD! How did that happen?

And currently, we are celebrating to the tune of an amped up emotional mess thanks to steroids due to croup.  Really?  Yep. Happy birthday Bug. This is one thankfully you will forget, but your daddy and I never will. 😦

We had to reschedule her party to keep her away from any potential sick-ies and turns out most people won’t be able to come next weekend (I know, I know, who plans a party on Labor Day weekend?), so it will be a pretty low-key first birthday party for our little B. That’s totally fine with me, except James’s mom has already made an awesome 3 tier birthday cake. Oh well, more cake for us I guess!

My mom always had a way of making the morning of our birthdays so special.  She would stay up after we went to bed and decorate the kitchen.  Then when we woke up she’d have coffee cake ready and we’d all eat together (something that didn’t happen for breakfast unless it was a birthday).  Then we’d open our presents from our parents.  Then that weekend we usually got a party with a few friends. I hope/plan to follow in her footsteps and make my babies’ birthdays as special as humanly possible.  Even with croup, this little girl will know we thank the Lord for putting her in our care while on this earth.

Praise the Lord from whom all blessings flow, and you my sweet Bailey Bug are one big blessing. We love you so much.

Happy birthday to little miss B! Other than this sickness, hope you and the family are doing well 🙂 Excited to see where the Lord is going to lead you and use you!
