Hey, so James and I are having another baby. We’re kind of internet hermits these days with a toddler and so we just have kind of ignored making any type of announcement on twitter or facebook. But then there are moments where I want to tweet something preggo related and stop myself because I realize there are people who don’t know yet! Well, take one look at my stomach and you’ll at least guess something is up. Either I am eating more than my fair share of cheeseburgers, or there is a human life growing in there. (If you haven’t guessed yet, it is the latter, although the former does sound really good right now!)
So yeah. Pruch baby #2 is on its way. I feel like it’s a boy..no, girl…no..well..I have no idea. I like the idea of another girl just for the convenience of it, and well, Bailey is so stinking cute, who wouldn’t want a clone of her running around! (Minus the incredible stubbornness and quick temper of course.) This one is 14 weeks and 1 day old so far, and as far as both ultrasounds have shown he/she is absolutely perfect (to the day) in terms of size.
Those first weeks were rough, but in comparison to horror stories I hear from other moms, I have it really easy. Especially when you factor in my husband’s gift of service and incredible love for me and Bailey. He was so great and deserves a ton of thanks for all he has done and continues to do for us around here. I definitely felt flutters with this one super early (right about 12 weeks) and now it definitely gets the wiggles every once in a while and tickles! It has been much easier to be patient with this baby than with Bailey. When I was pregnant with Bailey, all I wanted to do was be a stay at home mom..but I was still working full time at our church (great job, don’t get me wrong..just not my hearts’ desire). Now that I am already home full time, I feel more freedom to just relax and enjoy the little things in this pregnancy like each wiggle and tickle, and I can nap when I need to! 🙂
Thinking about moving and James getting a job, we are just resting and trusting in The Lord to provide in His perfect timing. The baby is due in June, our lease is up in May, and James’s internship and Seminary will be complete in May as well, so there are a alot..let me repeat..a LOT of unknowns in our life right now..but it is truly teaching us to trust in the goodness of our Heavenly Father, regardless of earthly circumstances. That said, if you know of an assistant pastor, lead pastor, or family pastor opening, let us know! 😉 We were concentrating our efforts in the New England area, but after traveling out there, and learning a lot more about ourselves and the area, we are open to going anywhere at this point.
Anyway, back to working on a baby blanket. No, we don’t know if it’s a girl yet, but I’ll make a boy blanket after this one and just give the other one away. 🙂
